Gambu was spralling city in ancient times. It is said gambhu was much older even than of Patan. Archeological discovery reveals lots of secrets of past. Several pratimaji are found from earth are sent to various jain temples of india. Present derasar in gambhu have mulnayak as gambhira parshwanath which belongs to king samprati era. In Vikram Samvat 919 Sri Shrilankacharyaji has created tika on Shree Acharanga Sutra in gambhu. Sushrut one of top book on vedik philosophy is also created in gambhu.
